about

In the darkest days of winter Takeover Recordings drops a suitably grinding piece of techno from label co-founder thatboytim. Down in the Hole deploys surging, seething oscillations over a masochistic techno stomp, drawing you into the murk with a mix of excitement and trepidation.
On the remix front, rising star The Parallel (Komisch/Static) opens up the more spacial side of the original, whilst still keeping the drive, whilst Sunil Sharpe (Mantrap/Bastardo Electrico) gives things a twist with a stalled 3 to the floor intro before dropping us in a relentless industrial strength concoction of clap patterns, fx and hat patterns. Finally thatboytim dons his terrorboy cape to give an unapologetically jacked up version which steers towards early nineties mayhem.
